September 2018 Early Wrap-Up Post

Hi everyone! Fall is officially upon us, and so far, it has been super rainy. Thus, making it super muddy (especially in the horse pastures!) Today's post is a wrap-up post, and yes, I know, September is not over yet, but this is the last Wednesday in September, so.... that is why I called it a early wrap-up post!

Want to hear something crazy?? There is exactly 96 days left of 2018! Like.... What?!? How can that be possible! So, let me ask you this: What are you going to do in 96 days? Challenge yourself to stick to something, whether it be doing a devotion every morning, or working out twice a week, you name it! Kind of like a end-of-the-year-resolution instead of a new year resolution. Tell me in the comments below, and I will cheer you on! :)

  2. Trying to stay above in my classes, early mornings at the coffee shop while chatting with the lovely Baristas, being a coffee critic to the new baristas all the while, turn up to class for a field trip and on the way up, get into a verbal brawl partly because of months of disagreements/me not getting along with certain student, and partly because a lot of caffine at one time makes me loud and crazy, at least 2 times making mistakes on my way home from school that took me on random shootoff roads i'd never been to in sktechy areas near the Graham - Haw River border then into parts of the inskirts that are filled with run down and collapsing textile factories, done badly on 2 test, one I should have passed but i used the inch symbol when I was supposed to use the foot one, a failed race, the joys of Hurricane Florence , and as of now, preping to turn in a major assignment tomorow and test 1 for Friday, and going to coffee shop with to see one of the Baristas who wanted me to come see her tonight. As of begining of the month to today, that bout sums up everything

    1. Gabrielle LOVES her new hair color! Happy early birthday!!! My September was great! Living on a farm is a lot of fun, but like you said it does have it's ups and downs...
Those are great goals! Learning to be more open with our feelings is really important. Nothing good can come of it if we keep our feelings bottled up inside. And looking at the positive side is another very important goal! At times, it will be hard to see the good in any situation, but pray that God will help you see it, because there are always things to be thankful for!
Thanks so much for reading about my September! I hope you have a GREAT October! =)

  6. Ninety six days left?! :O I literally saw some Christmas advertising this morning too and it's so crazy to think we're that close to the end of the year.

Soap making sounds cool! It's a great cottage industry. :) And yes, it's so great when you find books in thrift stores! That's my favourite place to buy them, actually. :) Nice photos too - I enjoy seeing them. It sounds like you've had a busy and profitable month! xx

    1. IKR! It's crazy! We are already planning our Christmas/wintery soap scents ('course they do take seven weeks to cure!) But the nights are already starting to get colder!

Making soap is really fun! The sky is the limit for all of the scents, colors, and designs! (That's one of the reasons I like it so much!) *heart eyes* Today, we cut our soap bars that we scented pine needle and are calling them "frosted pine."

It's so awesome to get good deals on books at the thrift store! Actually, this was the first time I had bought books at that particular store... I haven't read them yet, but I hope they are good! :)

Thanks! I love taking pictures! I especially thought that last one turned out really good of Rosie! No filters or anything...

It was pretty busy, but if flew by so fast! It seems like the closer we get to the end of the year, the faster the months go by! Thanks for commenting, Jessica! ;)

  7. WHAT EVEN, its already fall? Ahh yess, totally embracing it! I'm loving all the cold weather and sweaters and PUMPKIN EVERYTHINGGG. ;DDD
Ayeeee, I'm glad I'm not alone with the cold drinks. I srsly just was drinking an iced coffee and its like below zero her. :O What evennnn.
Ahhh! You had a fun month! I hope October is good to you. *wink wink* btw, do you have Instagram?

    1. I KNOW, can't believe it! All of the fun fall themed posts popping up around the blogosphere kind of helped me move past summer, and now I'm getting excited! Watching the leaves change colors, and sitting by the fireplace all cozied up with a good book sounds pretty good to me!

Oh! We made a batch of pumpkin pie soap! *whispers* But can I tell you a secret? I'm not big on eating actual pumpkin pie... I'd rather have apple or cherry pie!

Yay! I've found another cold/frozen/iced drink girl! Like cold drinks should not be seasonal to summer, they are good ALL year round! *high fives*

Thanks for reading this wrap-up post, Victoria! Um... No, I don't have Instagram, BUT I am thinking about getting a Goodreads account! Do you have one? Do you like It? I also just started a facebook for my soap business. :) And I have Pinterest. But that just about sums up my social media life. :D

    1. *applauds loudly* Someone has finally asked about my summer obsession!

Like, It is the BEST CHOCOLATE DRINK EVER! It definitely lives up to the ALL CAPS when I mention it in my posts! I had never had a FROZEN HOT CHOCOLATE DRINK until this summer, and it has changed everything! *whispers secretly* Like it might even top ice cream! <-- and I am a BIG ice cream fan! :) *whispers again* And I was really bad because I had both, a amazing drink AND ice cream, today... within a couple hours of each other!

Anyway, we get it at a gas-station-type-place that is original to our little town. It's not iced hot chocolate, but FROZEN HOT CHOCOLATE! And sometimes, you can get it with caramel drizzle too! The whip cream adds such a nice touch! It's cold, creamy, chocolatey, and just a whole lot of amazingness!

*realizes that I just wrote this long reply rambling about a frozen drink* Um... But its not just a "frozen drink," it's a FROZEN HOT CHOCOLATE DRINK!!! :)

    2. *takes a bow* You're welcome! *laughs*

Oooooh, do you think I could try and make it myself? It sounds SO good. And oooooh, I LOVE caramel!!

    3. *winks* Hmm, I think you could probably try to duplicate it. I'm pretty sure they have some sort of machine, but I think it would work with a blender too. I should really ask them how they make it, but I think it is just milk (we get ours with almond milk), hot chocolate mix, chocolate drizzle, ice, then of course the whip cream. If you ever attempt to make it, let me know how it worked for you! =)

    4. I am a cow milk free person anyways, (it makes me sick) so I would use almond milk. *winks*
Ok, thank you! I will surely let you know!

    3. I really want to, but I'm not quite sure how it all works! Do you have one?? :)

    4. Yes, I do have one. It's pretty easy to set up. The hardest part for me was coming up with a password! ;)
You can mark the books you are currently reading, the books you read, and the books you want to. It can be fun. You can chat with your friends about books. :)

    1. September was full of adventures! The tough mudder being on the top of the list! (I might write a post about it sometime.)

*laughs along with you* It actually happened with me and my sister! We had just about talked ourselves into think that we parked on another level when she spotted our car. Lesson learned: pay attention! ...and don't take selfies when you should be noting where you parked! :)

No rush, take your time! :)

Thanks so much for commenting, Rachel! <3

Haha. The joys of trying to be 'growed up'! Or you could include wide areas in your selfies so you can recognize the spot. :)

  11. AJAHAJAJAHAJAHAHAJAJH WE JUST STARTED 2018 we cannot have under 100 days left?!?!!!??

This is not good. Abort abort. There’s so much stuff I want to get done....

Sounds like you’ve had a fairly good month, though I’m so sorry for your Grandma, poor thing. Also, running in the rain can be fun. It also can be one of the most miserable experiences of your life.

    1. AJAHAJAHJAH ITS CRAZY!!! I can't can't seem to wrap my mind around the fact that 2018 is almost OVER either!

I agree! There's too much I want to get done!

Yes, my grandma(Nannie) breaking her wrist was quite the fiasco. She was in the horse pasture and tried to get a horse fly off of Rosie. Rosie swung around and she jumped out of the way and fell. We were gone from the farm when my grandpa(Papa) called. Long story short, my uncle drove her to the hospital, about 1 1/2 hours away, and we met them there... that was a very late night (they didn't get to seeing her until 5 hours of waiting in the waiting room!)
But, she had surgery. She was in a lot of pain for awhile, but she is doing much better now!

Running in the rain was not as bad as I thought it would be, although I didn't care for wet tennis shoes! :)

Thanks for reading, Julian! Hope you have a great October!

  12. How time flies! Just, ugh, I was supposed to be finished with the first draft of my novel BEFORE 2019 - NaNo will be my last chance to get this goal done. It feels like there's just not enough hours in the day! Praying for your Grandma!

    1. It really does fly! You still have three months left, I bet you can meet your goal! YOU CAN DO IT! And NaNo is the perfect motivation! *cheers you on*
Thanks for your prayers, she is doing lots better now. Therapy is helping her move her fingers more and more!
Thank you for stopping by, Julia!!! :)
