And Know

And Know
Written by Brooklyne

Be still
And know
That I am God
Have faith
And know
That I am faithful
Find Joy
And know
That I am merciful
Praise Me
And know
That I am exalted
Seek Me
And know
That I will be found
Honor Me
And know
That I will guide you

In the plans I have for you

Believe in Me
And know
That you are saved
Trust in Me
And know
That you are Mine
Hope in Me
And know
That you are safe

In my arms

Lean on Me
And know
That I am your Rock
Cast your burdens on Me
And know
That I am strong

In your weakness

Be still
And know

That I am God!

Sometimes we have to take a step back from our situations and Know. We have to Know that we are in capable hands, because God cares for His children.
We have to Know that He is stronger even when we are weak and frail.
We choose to Know because where is the hope in doubting?

Have you ever felt like it is super hard to be still and Know?
How are ways that we can stop doubting and start Knowing?

  1. This is beautiful, Brooklyne! That has been one of my favorite verses - to just be still and know that He is God. ♥ Such a sweet truth.

    1. Thank you so much for reading my poem and commenting, Hosanna! It's one of my favorite verses too! It's so comforting to Know that our God is all powerful and faithful; never leaving us or forsaking us. He is with us wherever we go! What an amazing promise! <3

  2. that would be right about now, as I am back on the job market, a lot of changes going on with the people i'll be working with. Applied for another VR Service to work with and to ditch my current one, what has been a plague. my DVR Councilor is also changing, and as of now I no longer have one. It's really frustrating.

  3. This really hit home for me in a current situation, but also a situation 13 years ago when my dad was having medical issues and the doctors just wanted to keep him on medication. God taught us to be still during that time and 2 years later, dad had an appendectomy that ended all the pain! Praise the Lord!

    1. Being still is equally, if not more important than Knowing. Sometimes we get so wrapped up in the going ons of life that we completely forgot to stop and be still in order to know. Thanks for reading, Faith! I always love getting your comments! <3

  7. Such a great poem. <3 Yes, sometimes I think we look so much at the "be still" part, but we need to also focus on the "know that I am God" part of that verse together with that. When we really take time to stop, to be still right where we are, and KNOW who He is -- that God IS God -- OUR God -- I believe doubt has a much harder time sticking around in us. :)

Again, great post, Brooklyne! Happy New Year to you!

    1. Thank you, Faith! I agree! Knowing is a huge part of finding peace in the fact that God has a plan for each of us. And that plan is perfect! Such a comforting verse to me! Yes, I do think that doubt tries to creep in, but if we Know and have faith, then there is no place for doubt in us.

Thanks you so much! But I cannot take credit because God is the one to give me the words. Happy New Year to you too! I hope your January is going great! Have a wonderful day! <3

  8. It is hard at times...a lot of times. One way I like to think about God is read stuff about Him in the Bible like in the old testament. I know most people don't want to always see the lion side of God, but I can enjoy learning about that side of Him as well as His lamb side as long as I am in the right spirit.
I think it's important to read about Him there as well, because we need to remember that he is great and powerful as well as loving. The fear (more of a reverence) of the Lord is good! We need to understand grace and that we have been set free from the law, but we also need to Know God has not lost his might, even though He pardons greatly, and He is someone that we need to not disregard as weak . I actually find comfort and I can see the repeated Grace and power of God in these passages, too. Not always, but sometimes. ☺ Have a good day!

    1. Reading from the Old Testament is very eye opening. It is comforting to me to Know that God is the same past, present, and future. He is so complex, from showing His great power to those who doubted and didn't know God back in the Old Testament to gently loving and offering forgiveness of sins through Jesus in the New Testament. God is the same, the people are the ones who constantly change.
I agree! Understanding His grace but also realizing that He is Mighty and Just is so important and goes hand-in-hand.
Thank you so much, Amy, for sharing your thoughts! I'm glad you stopped by and read my poem! Have a blessed day! <3
