To Stay AwestruckWritten by Brooklyne
Indescribable!Never let His glory fadeThe beauty of this earth He madeFrom the countless stars, to every small grass blade.Never let His glory fadeUncontainable! His mercy’s are new each dayThanking Him always when you prayFor His rich blessings He bestows, come what mayHis mercy’s are new each dayIncomparable!
His love, He freely gives
Those who are searching to believe
Love is what made Him suffer so that we could live
His love, He freely gives
Unchangeable!
We are His chosen childrenTo spread the Truth we’re givenLiving in peace with our sisters and brethrenWe are His chosen childrenAll powerful!Just for us, He sent His SonHe has already fought and wonLeaving the ninety-nine to rescue the oneJust for us, He sent His SonYou are amazing God!How then, do we forget? All the criteria He has metIt seems all we do is worry and fretHow then, do we forget…To stay awestruck?
Have you ever forgotten to stay truly awestruck? Name one thing that you find amazing about our God. Thank you so much for reading this poem! Have a wonderful autumn day, and I will see you in the comments! :)
Reminds me of Psalm 19...
ReplyDeleteThe Heav'ns God's glory do declare,
The skies his hand-works preach:
Day utters speech to day, and night
To night doth knowledge teach.
But it's crazy where inspiration will hit you...I once wrote a mandolin song while flying in an airplane. Didn't even have an instrument on hand, just played it in my head over and over until I had the notes where I liked them, lol
Psalm 19 is such a good verse! Thanks for sharing!
DeleteWriting inspiration does have a mind of it's own, doesn't it!? Wow! That's cool that you wrote a song without having a instrument, and in a airplane!
Thanks for commenting!!! =)
I loved it! I love your poetry overall for the most part. My favorite line was " How then do, we forget, all the criteria he has met." The fancy wording impressed me. " . And doing this at 12:30 A.M. is also VERY IMPRESSIVE!! Good job overall.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Evan. But honestly, anything good out of my poems and writings is coming from the Lord. I'm so glad He puts words on my heart to share through my blog!
DeleteAnd I hope this does not come off as being biased, but this is one of my favorite blogs I follow.
ReplyDeleteYes. He gives people gifts that he uses for His glory. I’m still trying to learn how to use them gifts and find seats , well, the ones I have.
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely, girl! (As is that graphic. ;) ) May we always stay awestruck. <33

ReplyDeleteThanks, Rakayle! Most definitely! And at least I'm not the only one with an unruly writers inspiration...sleep is kind of important! *winks* ;)
DeleteThis poem was posted a while ago, but still - thank you for sharing it, Brooklyne! That feeling of being awestruck by God's glory is incredible. He is so, so good! ♥ Your words are beautiful, dear friend!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for reading. And I'm so glad you commented, Hosanna! Yes it is, God is all powerful and amazing! Thank you! Although I hope these words are not mine, but His. <3
DeleteAbsolutely! It's incredible that He chooses to inspire and speak through "our" little words that are actually all His!
DeleteYes it is! God is so amazing how He will give us gifts to use for His glory. <3
