Written by Brooklyne

Same hope that will anchor
Steadfast and sure
Ready to conquer
Still the same, always

Same love that never fails
Patient and kind
Its presence prevails
Still the same, always

Same care that will comfort
Never leaving
Helping our efforts
Still the same, always

Same peace that surpasses
Quiet, calm, still
While the storm passes
Still the same, always

Same glory that is shown
Its bright beauty
We have all known
Still the same, always

Same grace that is given
To all who ask
They are forgiven
Still the same, always

Same faith that moves mountains
Trusting and bold
Come to His fountain
Still the same, always

Same strength that is able
To lift us up
He's reliable
Still the same, always

Same truth that it's telling
In the Bible
Stories compelling
Still the same, always

Hebrews 13:8
"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday,
today, and forever."

James 1:17
"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above,
and comes down from the Father of lights,
with whom there is no variation
or shadow of turning."

Jesus never changes and His love for us never changes, it is still the same, always.
Thank you for reading my poem, Always! Believe it or not, the inspiration for this poem came when I was listening to a country song.

What inspires you to write poetry? What are your thoughts on this poem? What is one of your favorite things about our loving Heavenly Father that never changes? Lets talk in the comments below!

  1. Yes! He’s the same forever, always. That’s a comforting thought in a world of ever-changing things.
One of my favorite things about God? Probably His faithful love. He is always faithful and He keeps pouring out His love. I’ve been reading through the Psalms and a phrase repeated so often is “faithful love”.
I like poetry. It’s such a beautiful way to express things.
Great poem, Brooklyne! And great post :).

  2. Thank you for reading, Sarah, and for commenting! Yes, it is very comforting to know that God is still the same. Forever and always.
Faithful love. I like that. It is so reassuring that God's love for us is so true an faithful.
    I like poetry too:-).
Thank you, and I'm so glad liked this post!

  3. This really touched me. I like it so much the concept of always - forever!!

  4. I'm so glad we serve such a amazing God! He is first and last, beginning and end. He's the same yesterday, today, and forever!
Thanks for stopping by, Rachel! ;-)

  5. This is so lovely, Brooklyne! Thanks for the reminder. <3 What song did the inspiration come from? If you don't mind me asking. ;)

  6. Thank you, Faith!
Yes, so the song Still the Same by Sugarland came on one day as I was listening to pandora. When it said in the chorus "Our love is still the same, still the same, still the same." My mind changed it to His (Gods) love is still the same, still the same, still the same.
Because Gods love for us never changes, it is everlasting!
So that is the song this poem, Always, stemmed from. :-)
    Thanks for commenting!

  7. Did you paint that picture? I love doing art like that to!

  8. Hi Lexah! Yes, I did paint it. I have been experimenting with water colors! I've seen your wood burned signs, they are really good!
    Thanks for reading my poem!

  9. Such a beautiful poem! <3 Ah yes, it's so wonderful to know that our loving Heavenly Father is the same ALWAYS! His love for us will never change, ever! I think that is one of my favorite things about God, that his love and passion for us never changes -- no matter what we do or what we say -- He'll love us ALWAYS!! :D

I get inspiration for poems and stories just about everywhere I think. Sometimes just from something someone says, a picture, or like you said, from a certain song. :)

I love your blog here! Thanks so much for checking out my blog as well. <3 God bless!

  10. Thanks! Yes, I agree, it is wonderful to know our Father never changes. God loves us with a love that never fails! A love that we can't even fathom. I'm so glad God never gives up on his children!

Same here! Sayings, pictures, everyday life happenings, just about anything can get my writers brain spinning out of control:-)!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Your blog is really nice too!

  11. Yes! God is so amazing that way.
